The Story

The name deodara comes from the Sanskrit devadaru, 'timber of the gods', and the tree is held sacred in Hinduism. These huge, long-lived cedars weather centuries of storms and support whole ecosystems. Our oil is steam-distilled from deodar cedar wood from the forests of India, and a careful ageing process adds warmth and complexity.

• Atlas Cedarwood — Warm, rich and slightly resinous; deeply grounding; a classic for meditation and oily-skin blends.
• Himalayan Cedarwood (this oil) — Clean, earthy and warm with a sweet resin note that deepens over time; especially soothing.
• Virginian Cedarwood — Deep, woody and earthy, turning sweeter and softer; calming and cosy.

How to Use

Diffuse a few drops, or dilute in a carrier oil for massage, skin or scalp care.
