Organic green cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum), the 'queen of spices', steam-distilled from the fragrant seeds. Fresh, herbal and spicy at first, it dries down to a sweet, woody, resinous warmth. Uplifting and comforting, and a beautiful addition to blends and natural perfumes.
Warm, sweet and gently spicy. It opens fresh and herbal with an aromatic spice note, then turns richer and sweeter with woody, resinous and faintly medicinal undertones. Middle note. Blends well with woods, resins, florals, spices and citrus, and suits both masculine and feminine perfumes.
Native to Sri Lanka and southern India and a member of the ginger family, cardamom is one of the world's best-loved spices. Our oil comes from India.
Diffuse a few drops for up to 30 minutes at a time in a ventilated room, or dilute well in a carrier oil (such as sweet almond or grapeseed) for massage.
